Determination...

Tum main hain hero....
This one is especially for Ms. Hansika.
Ek bar main ne committment kar li, toh main apni bhi nahi sonti hoon.  This holds so true for Hansika. I am proud of her.  Her determination to learn to swim overcame her fear and i have been seeing it these last two days.  Rachna and me just have to tell her...come on you can do it and she give it her best and just in two days she swam today without her float. Way to go girl!
And needless to add, all the guys in the pool are probably looking forward for tomorrow morning :-)

Chicken - My ma's style

Ma had lots of people over for meals in those days - till about maybe about 10-12 years back.  We too enjoyed our meals there - we visited Ma regularly back then - at least once a week (still try now - but the visits are quick ones).   There was kheema tikki, fried rice with sai bhaiji (yes dont be shocked) and the famous chicken.  I'll share this with you and yes Rachna will make it this week (have not made it for some time now).

One full chicken (or just legs or boneless - whatever's your fancy) -  the recipe is for 750 gms,  marinate the chicken in 1 cup hung curd (its okay even if you use it as is - make sure its thick though), 2 tblspns of ginger garlic paste, 2 tsps red kashmiri chilli powder, 2 tsps dhania powder,  1tsp any garam masala powder, juice of 1 lemon.  Let it sit either overnight or for around 5-6 hours in the fridge.  When you are ready to cook it,  put 2 tsps oil in a pan - put in the chicken with marinade and salt to taste.  Cover and cook on medium heat till cooked (should take 15 minutes only) - let the liquids dry - garnish with corriander leaves and presto.....yummy chicken.
